I've been a beer drinker for years and normally I drink Bud Lite. But recently instead of the light taste it's bitter more like Miller Lite. I hate it when the beer I drink changes and the company cant admit to making the change. So why is AB changing it's formula and why are they not telling consumers? I read an article that their sales dropped. So they make this change, they think for the better, yet hide and say they didn't. Why?
I will assume you did not see the article in the USA today, I believe it was wednesday. AB has mentioned that they have begun putting more, and supposedely, better hops into their beer. This is why the beer is tasting slightly more bitter than you might be used to. They decided to do this because the hop count was getting very low and the International Bitterness Units (IBUs) were almost to low. Bud Light is indeed changing, it's not just you.
