If you havent yet explored the locally operated Burnet Ridge wines then you should begin soon. This North College Hill winery produces one of the best wines my wife and I have ever tried. The "Purple Trillium" , a blend of varying Cabernet and Merlot vintages, is a bordeuax stlye red with intense aromas and flavors. Being priced in the mid $20's is a steal. We've had many other well known, pricey wines and the P.T. compares quite nicely. BR's other wines such as the Super Tuscan and Zinfandel blends are fantastic choices as well. My advice, buy a bottle of Purple Trillium, put on some Coltrane or Miles Davis, light a few candles, relax and sip the night away.
I couldn't agree with you more, Burnett Ridge is making some of the finest wines anywhere, nevermind the fact that he is producing them right in Cincinnati. Do you have any idea how they do this. I can't believe that he is actually growing the grapes, in the Cincy region. Anyway what ever he is doing, I just hope he keeps doing it.
