Anyone recommend a good sweet, red wine, not too dry? I don't know where to start when it comes to wine. Thanks.

I know this is a late post/reply, but I'm new to the site.
Although I'm not big on sweet wine, I'm familiar with Heineman's Sweet Concord (since I practically spend my entire vacation on Heineman's party deck) and would recommend it as a decent selection in the $10 and under range. |

Try a Red Zinfandel. While maybe not a sweet as some of the German whites, for example Reisling or Gewurstraminer, they will be fruity. Wine store people will usually send you in the right direction for anything, even unusual requests if they can fill them. It is their best tool for repeat customers, besides good price and selection.

Hello, I am just learning about some wines to, and I prefer sweet as well. I just had a wine at the Butler Winery in Indiana it was called Vineyard Red I believe and it is red sweet and not to dry. I thought it was very good.

Sorry, I know it's not a universal truth, but to me, good and sweet are mutually exclusive when it comes to reds.
