There is a GREAT soda out there called Ski that I grew up drinking in Southeastern Ohio. It is part of the Double Cola line of sodas.

I believe they are distributed out of central Illinois from Excel Bottling: http://www.excelbottling.com/ and there may be an Ohio distributor in Wellston called the Gem Bottling Company.

We set up a "Ski Awareness" Group on Facebook and have well over 700 members - several from Cincinnati.

Any chance of bringing Ski to Jungle Jim's?? It would most definately sell. I'd buy most of it. Smile

Thanks!!

But good news, we have been told that the Ohio franchise rights holder has no problem with us finding another supplier (due to their location and our location) so we have put out inquiries for a distributor to start stocking it here...should be just a matter of time now and you will see Ski Soda on the Jungle Jim's shelves.

That's great news! Thanks for the update! Hope to see Ski at JJ's soon!

I am very surprised at the lack of response. Distributors of Double Cola and Ski have been very helpful when I have called them to find retailers for Double Cola and Ski when traveling. The Double Cola Company itself is quite prompt in responding to inquiries. I would suggest calling the company directly at 1-877-DBL-COLA, or sending an e-mail to info@double-cola.com

Hmm, I don't know how the reply I just made ended up in the middle of the earlier replies! Just wanted to post this additional message to make sure my reply is seen. Hope Jungle Jim's can get Ski and Double Cola!

I wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Lambert's request. Ski is a great citrus soda made with real fruit juices that has a more natural taste than Mountainn Dew. Double Cola itself is also a quality soda that can hold its own with Coke and Pepsi.

Excel Bottling does carry Ski and Double Cola, including a glass bottled version of Ski made with real sugar. However, the biggest bottler of Double Cola Company beverages is RC Bottling (also known as Tri-State) in Evansville, Indiana. And yes, Gem Beverages in Wellston, Ohio is a distributor of Ski and Double Cola.

I travel every few months from Cincinnati to the Wellston/Jackson, Ohio area to stock up on Ski and Double Cola. I would much prefer to buy these great sodas at Jungle Jim's. I think a lot of people would like them--especailly Ski.
In addition to regular Ski, there is also Diet Ski, Cherry Ski and Caffeine Free Ski.

Has Excel responded? I think Evansville or Wellston might be better bets. No offense to Excel but the Evansville bottler is a much larger company which distributes over a much greater area.

Hey Chad

Thanks for the inquiry and sorry about the delay in our response.

We are experiencing a revamping in our International Department and just got this reply to your question.

"We have contacted the Bottling Company to get more info on their products. As soon as we get a definitive answer, we will post it here."

Thank you for your interest in and support of Jungle Jim's International Market!
