We came to Ohio, all the way from Quarryville, PA (about 500 miles) on business. I saw your brochure at one of those travel rest stops, and I passed up going to a casino to visit your store! I had the greatest time looking around. My husband gave up on waiting for me and took a nap in the car! What an experience!!! Big Grin

Linda,
Wow!! your story is awesome! You will be happy to know we've added onto the building and have several stores open with restaurants opening soon. We are currently working on a hotel and several other restaurants. check out the new things in the Jungle. some day we will have the monorail running. you may want to sign up for a cooking class and or wine tastings....

Have Fun!

Last time I dragged my best friend along and we ending up spending 5 1/2 hours there.
I love the produce dept and my son always wants me to bring him back some new hot sauce.
My daughter loves the asian section.
I think its just about time for another road trip!

What do you consider to be "long distances"? 30 miles? 50 miles? 100+?

Came to Cincy on business a couple of weeks ago, my brother tagged along for grins. He talked me into making the side trip to Jungle Jim's... I had no clue in the world what I was in for, but WOW!!!

Now I'm heading back up there today with the wife and kids. I'm sure the kiddos will get a charge out of the seafood dept.

Traveling from Louisville Ky., about 120 miles one way.

I personally am going for the mexican coca-cola. If you have not tried this item, by all means, do so... Made with real cane sugar and in real glass bottles, just like REAL coke used to be Big Grin

We first came to Jungle Jims four years ago when we stayed at a B&B in Hamilton, OH.

We went to Grand Victoria casino in IN, and stopped at JJ's on the way back. I want to go again soon!!

I read about Jungle Jim's in Smithsonain magazine a couple of years ago! I am from Greenville, SC and was recently visiting friends in Cincy who promised to take me somewhere that I could buy different kinds of pasta that I can't find in SC! Boy, was I surprised to see the Jungle Jim's that I had read about those years ago, next time I'm bringing a cooler. Big Grin

The first time we found Jungle Jim's was by accident. Husband was playing in a group at Burbank's BBQ and our hotel was near JJ. After the gig we decided to stop in, unsure of what Jungle Jim's really was! But we were from Louisville KY at that time. We live closer now...NE of Indianapolis and still try to get over there a couple of times a year.

As part of a food-marketing food industry survey class (May 2004) we drove by bus from Kalamazoo, MI. The distance from Kalamazoo to Jungle Jim's is 267.1 miles
